Krewe of Artemis

The Krewe of Artemis in Baton Rouge celebrates the spirit of Mardi Gras by bringing women together for a night parade that honors friendship, community, and philanthropy. Founded as the first all-female Mardi Gras Krewe in Baton Rouge, Artemis seeks to empower women through festivities that raise funds for local charities and create joyful experiences for spectators. Members of the krewe proudly participate in year-round events that build camaraderie, preserve Louisiana’s carnival traditions, and support local causes.

I have played an integral role in the Krewe of Artemis, especially through my service as Head of Public Relations. I have lead the krewe’s media outreach efforts, fosters strong relationships with sponsors and partners, and organizes communications that showcase Artemis’s dedication to community engagement. In my leadership capacity, I coordinate social media initiatives and ensure that each charitable program receives widespread publicity. I also collaborate with fellow members to design imaginative floats, select captivating costume themes, and plan inclusive volunteer outreach events that highlight the krewe’s core values. By combining my strategic planning with my genuine passion for Mardi Gras traditions, I have done my best to uphold the spirit of Artemis and inspire members to create a memorable and empowering carnival experience for everyone involved.

Delta Zeta

Before my presidency, I stepped into the role of Vice President of Membership, which allowed me to focus on recruiting and retaining driven, community-oriented women. I led the planning and execution of recruitment events, ensuring each gathering provided a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere for potential new members. I also developed initiatives that celebrated our sisterhood, promoted ongoing member engagement, and encouraged every individual to embrace Delta Zeta’s mission wholeheartedly. Through my leadership in this role, I continued to build a supportive community where all sisters felt empowered to grow, serve, and uphold our cherished traditions.

As President of Delta Zeta, I guide our chapter’s strategic planning and oversee a series of fundraising events that support our national philanthropy, which focuses on speech and hearing causes. I make it a priority to encourage personal and professional growth among my sisters by organizing leadership workshops and mentoring programs. I also work closely with campus officials and alumni networks to strengthen partnerships and ensure our values of confidence, friendship, and kindness resonate both on and off campus. By staying deeply involved in daily operations and fostering an inclusive environment, I help our chapter reach new levels of unity and accomplishment.
